The in-depth story of the 1963 Monaco GP race as the town prepares for and hosts the most glamorous event of the year, how the teams arrive and set up, where the drivers hang out (pools, beaches, bars) and how their time is spent between the practice and race itself (pools, beaches, bars) as well as describing the whole race day experience. Uses a wealth of spectacular and revealing photographs to capture all the character, the colour and the gravitas of the whole thing, won, for the first time (or 5) by Mr Monaco himself, Graham Hill.

First edition hardback in generally good condition, red boards very good with minimal marking, spine has gold lettering, slight sunning to top edge. Dust jacket has some scuffs and tears to front and small loss top rigt, otherwise intact.
