This is the story, told in text and pictures, of the two greatest names in motoring competition in the ten years 1946-1956. The story begins in the Italian factories where the cars are designed, manufactured, prepared and tested. Here the reader meets the figures whose genius has kept their marques to the forefront in both Grand Prix and sports car racing throughout most of this period, and is given behind the scenes glimpses, in previously unpublished photographs, of construction and testing.

The author next shows in action photographs and close-ups, the cars, still on their home ground, in the Grands Prix at Monza, Syracuse, etc.; the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, Tour of Sicily and other races. Extensive and fabulous action photography.

Hardback in generally good condition. Black cover has some very minor marks and corner rubbing. Some browning to blank inside cover page but remainder of interior in good clean condition. Dust jacket in excellent condiyion and protected by clear cover. Really good example. Very rare in this condition with jacket.
