He already witnessed how the young Scotsman caused a sensation for the first time in Germany on the Solitude in 1960. He was also there on the dreary April 7, 1968, when Clark started at the Hockenheimring for the last time. In the intervening years, Dr. Benno Müller became Jim Clark’s favorite photographer, while the Scotsman became the country doctor’s favorite motif.
