Description
The story of a successful Racing Driver who started out on his career just after the War in cars that just make your mouth water. He bought an Old Alfa Monoposto for £2K but only got £1K when he sold it to buy a Maserati 4C-1500. The accident at Silverstone in a Frazer Nash would have most mere mortals decide on becoming Armchair racers. After this early excitement his career followed a progressive path to F.1. alas leaving Cooper for Aston Martin in ’59. (seemed a good idea at the time) just as the little rear engined racer made it big time.
Hardback in generally good condition throughout.
