Henry Segrave was a pioneer in land speed and water speed records. He was the first person to hold both land speed and water speed records, and the first to travel at over two hundred miles per hour in a land vehicle.

In this work, originally published two years before his accidental death in the Lake District, Segrave retraces his career as world’s champion racing motorist from 1922 to 1927, with chapters dedicated to racing, the Grand Prix, his arrival in America, and sharing some observations.

Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author and other plates of photographs.

Well used library edition, green boards are reasonably clean, some bumping to corners and rolling of spine. Inside, library stickers and stamps in places. A little grubby in places but a very readable copy. Priced accordingly for a relatively rare book.
